Samsung was formed in 1950 and the Samsung Group is now the biggest conglomerate in South Korea with Samsung Electronics as the biggest electronics company in the world. Samsung produce a huge range of products and in recent years, the company has collaborated with the Pentax Corporation resulting in similar digital SLR camera models with both the Pentax and Samsung name. Pentax also supply digital SLR lenses to Samsung branded as Schneider Kreuznach.
Samsung, in addition to its large range of digital cameras, have released three digital SLR cameras - the 10 megapixel Samsung GX-10 & two 6 megapixel cameras including the GX-1L and GX-1S DSLRs.
